The Humantay Lagoon, is surrounded by imposing glaciers that are part of the Andes mountain range, among these the majestic Nevado Salkantay Humantay that when it melts gives rise to the splendid Humantay lagoon, connect with nature, enjoying the flora and fauna.

Climate:

The climate in the area is rainy and dry. From December to April, it rains and snows in the higher-altitude areas, with daytime temperatures ranging from 16°C to 18°C. From May to November, daytime temperatures range between 17°C and 19°C. At night, temperatures drop to as low as 0°C.

Itinerary

The tour will start between 4:30 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. Transport to the district (1:40 hrs approx). Arriving at this small and picturesque town, you will br offered a delicious breakfast and then free time to use the hygienic services, buy hydrating drinks and snacks. Afterwards, the trip will continue for 1 more hour to Soraypampa with an altitude of 3900 masl, (starting point of the walk to the Lagoon). The adventure begins with a panoramic view of the Salkantay and Humantay , where you will have a brief description of the walk, recommendations and indications provided by the guide before beginning the ascent; once ready the journey begins to the Lake Humantay located at 4200 m.a.s.l., after the ascent of approximately one hour and a half, you will be able to appreciate the magical lagoon at the foot of the Humantay mountain, that is where you will have the respective explanation of the place and of course free time for photographs, enjoy and explore the shores of the turquoise lagoon. Once satisfied with the majesty of this place, return to the vehicle that awaits you in Soraypampa, and then go to the town of Mollepata where a delicious lunch will await. Finally, return to the city of Cusco ending the tour at 5:00 pm approx.
