Cusco: Montaña de siete colores – Machu Picchu

Pick up from your hotel to transfer you to the starting point of this unforgettable city tour in the city of Cusco, approximately between 13:30 and 13:50 hrs the tour will start in the temple of the sun, Qoricancha, full of history and valuable works of art, then you will visit Sajsayhuaman and the surrounding archaeological centers, Qenqo, Puca – Pucara and finally Tambomachay. The tour ends at approximately 18:30 hrs approx. (Saphy street).

After a delicious breakfast, you will visit another part of the Sacred Valley.

The tour will begin in the traditional and colonial town of Chincheros, a traditional town for the Inca vestiges and Spanish Colonization, you will visit the most emblematic places of the town, such as its Catholic Church in the middle of the Inca construction, you will see the fusion of the two cultures. Without ceasing to appreciate the magnificent textiles of the place, you will go to Maras Moray, where you will observe immense circles, considered as the Inca agricultural laboratory, then visit the salt mines from the Inca era. This walk will take you to the natural salt wells, through old colonial cities located in the Sacred Valley and surrounded by snow-capped mountains.

The tour will end in the salt mines that are more than two thousand salt wells in charge of the community, an inheritance left by the Incas.

In this program you will visit one of the new natural attractions of Cusco “The mountain of 7 colors”. The tour starts early, in the morning you will pass by your hotel in Cusco between 04:30 and 05:00 am. Travel by car for approximately two hours to the south, until reach the district of Cusipata – Paucarpata where you can have breakfast, then you will travel by car for 1 more hour until we reach the checkpoint and start the walk, the walk will last approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, you will observe the typical flora and fauna of the Andes, among which the presence of llamas and alpacas stands out, upon reaching the viewpoint of Vinicunca or Montaña de Colores (5200 masl.)

The guide will give you an explanation about the orography, ecosystem and color from the mountain,you will also be able to take advantage of the moment to take photos of the memory and admire the beautiful landscape. Return by the same path to the point where you started the hike, the transport will be waiting to take you back to Cusipata, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch. After lunch, you will begin the return trip to the city of Cusco, arriving between 4:00 and 5:00 pm. The last stop will be near the Plaza de Armas of Cusco.

Breakfast. Pick up at your accommodation and then continue to the “Sacred Valley of the Incas”. Visit the picturesque town of Pisac and its colorful Craft Fair.

At noon, you will have a buffet lunch in a tourist restaurant.

In the afternoon, the tour continues to the Inca Town and Fortress of Ollantaytambo, a gigantic administrative, agricultural, civil, military and religious complex, from the time of the Tawantinsuyo.

According to your train schedule, transfer to the Ollantaytambo station for your departure to the town of Machu Picchu. Arrival and transfer to your accommodation.

After breakfast you will board the Consetur tourist bus to the Inca city of Machu Picchu, on the journey of approximately 30 minutes, you will be able to appreciate the jungle and rivers that surround Machupicchu.

At the indicated time the guided tour will begin, which will have a duration of 2 hours walking through the main palaces and attractions of the Inca city of Machu Picchu.

You will have free time to visit this wonderful Inca city of Machu Picchu at your own pace. We recommend you visit the house of the chosen ones, the Intiwatana (sundial, which marks the seasons of the year) as well as its large areas with terraces, you can also visit the Puerta del Sol and Puente Inca or whatever you want to do at that time.

Even if you couldn’t visit the town’s hot springs the night before, you’ll still have enough time to enjoy it today.

At the indicated time, return to the train station to board and start the trip to Ollantaytambo and immediately take a tourist bus to Cusco.

This day after breakfast, you will be transferred privately to the airport for your return flight home.
