Description

Iquitos: It’s the gateway to the Peruvian Amazon from where the magic extends in all directions through the majestic Amazon River, considered the capital of the Peruvian Amazon as it houses all the representativeness of our abundant culture, flora, fauna and excellent gastronomy of the jungle region.

Angamos: Peruvian town located in the Loreto region of Peru, Yaquerana District, Peru.

Matsés: The Matsés, also known as Mayoruna, are made up of peoples whose language is part of the Pano linguistic family.

Climate

Summers are hot and cloudy, winters are hot, partly cloudy, oppressive and wet all year round. During the course of the year, the temperature generally varies from 22°C to 32°C and rarely drops below 20°C or rises above 34°C.

Itinerary

Departure from Morona by Air Force plane (subject to availability and weather factors) to the community of Angamos. Upon arrival in the community, reception by a local guide and accommodation in accommodation.
Important: If you arrive in the morning, optional departure the same day after collecting food and a short rest you will leave in peke peke (motor boat). Arrival after 6 hours. That day we spent the night in the house of one of the families.

Local Breakfast
07:00 am: Salida en Peque Peque Departure by Peque Peque (motor boat) to the Community of San Mateo de Los Matsés. Local Breakfast
