The Rafael Larco Herrera Archaeological Museum Rafael Larco Herrera, known as Larco Museum, is a museum of pre-Columbian art, located in the district of Pueblo Libre, in the city of Lima, capital of Peru. It was founded in 1926 by Rafael Larco Hoyle. It exhibits galleries that show the 5000 years of development of the history of pre-Columbian Peru. It is located inside a colonial hacienda house dating from the eighteenth century. It houses a fascinating pre-Columbian art collection of approximately 45,000 archeological pieces.

Climate:

Summers are hot, muggy, arid, and cloudy (December to March), while winters are long, cool, dry, windy, and mostly clear (August to September). Throughout the year, temperatures typically range from 15°C to 27°C and rarely drop below 14°C or rise above 29°C.
