Discovering the Amazon from Iquitos

Discover the Amazon from Iquitos to the Community of Pucaurquillo in 5 days and 4 nights!

Taking care of nature is taking care of your health, through this reconnection trip in the Amazon, you will have the opportunity to reconnect with you heart, mind, body and nature, just 5 hours from the city of Iquitos on  the way you will observe the wonder of the natural world like the Amazon River and all its nature that surrounds it. You will learn from a sustainable experience in the Community of Pucaurquillo about its ancestral culture of ethnic gruopus such as the Murui-Huitoto and Boras, meeting the chambira weavers and the artist in LLanchama. You will receive a singing welcome, ancestral dance and flower necklaces in the community “maloca”. Each traveler shares with a local family who teaches them to live different experiences from how to fish, bathe in the Ampiyacu River, watch the dolphins, hug the tress among other ancestral activities. At  the end, you take an ancestral gift handmade by a local entrepreneur.

Important: This trip with purpose in the community of Pucaurquillo in Loreto. It is intended to generate fair work for the families of the Murui-Huitotos and Boras ethnic groups, having the opportunity to learn about the ancestral culture, customs; as well as the Chambira palm tree and at the same time how the women of the area make use of it to develop utilitarian products and market them in the city, having an additional income for the well-being of their families.

Climate

Warm, humid and rainy, with a minimum annual average temperature of 22 ºC and a maximum of 32 ºC, varying exceptionally to a minimum of 17 ºC some days between June and July, and a maximum of 36 ºC between October and January.

  • The passenger accepts the terms and conditions at the time of making the reservation. In case of non-attendance, the traveler loses 100% (Non-refundable), date changes at least 30 days in advance. In the case of being a group or couple, if one of your companions does not attend, the responsible person must assume the difference. No Show: In case the passenger does not show up on the arrival date, it is non-refundable.
  • We are subject to weather changes or work stoppages/strikes, it is understood that if an activity is not carried out it will be changed for an equal or superior one.
  • We do not make refunds except for health with a medical certificate, death with a death certificate and pandemics (the refund is with a Travel voucher(*). There is no refund.

In case you want to make any change of community or destination, it must be prior coordination and additional payment that could be generated. The holder of the Travel voucher has a period of twelve months from the date of issuance, to decide on an option and carry out the exchange thereof. Considering that the reservation must be made with a minimum of one month in advance. This Travel voucher does not apply on holidays and public holidays in Peru.

  • Surcharges for holidays in Peru:

A 50% surcharge will be made to the total price for festive dates such as: Holy Week (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday), Labor Day (May 1), Inti Raymi (June 24), National Holidays (28 and July 29), Christmas (December 24 and 25), New Years (December 31 and January 1).
